Thathri gets PWD Divn post administrative reorganization

Doda : Deputy Commissioner Vishesh Mahajan on Wednesday inaugurated the newly established PWD (R&B) Division Office at Dakbunglow Thathri. The Divisional Office of R&B at Thathri has been established after the reorganisation of administrative units of PWD (R&B), meeting the long pending demand of the people of Thathri Sub Division. He also dedicated the new Tehsil Office Kahara shifted to Dakbunglow from private accommodation, making the Office more visible and accessible for the public.
Apace with his scheduled Amrit Kalash Yatra programme at Revenue Complex Gandoh, he also attends valedictory event of 9- day Silai School, a capacity building programme, organized by the district administration in collaboration with ELFA International, supported by the USHA International Ltd.
The Programme intended to provide livelihood and income generating opportunities to 10 women from different parts of the Tehsil Gandoh, who as Master Trainers will teach and mentor their fellow villagers interested in the programme. The program was conceived with a view of ushering avenues of dignified livelihood to the trainees and kicking in a chain reaction of sorts aimed at the poverty alleviation of the beneficiaries.
Later, Vishesh Mahajan inspected the Sub Divisional Office Complex Gandoh and interacted with the staff there.
He also inspected Sub Divisional Hospital Gandoh and inquired about the staff punctuality and patient care besides ABHA and AB-PMJAY SEHAT registration in the hospital.
He also took a physical review on the progress of under construction residential quarters for health staff.
The DC, while underlining the significance of the inaugurations, said that the goal of the government is to provide all basic services to the people at their doorsteps with utmost transparency and efficiency. He reiterated the motive of the LG administration in making available the opportunities to the unemployed youth for their livelihood with dignity and with least displacement from their homes.
