Srinagar Wins Provincial-Level Football Tourney Title

Srinagar: The District Team of Srinagar emerged victorious while defeating Budgam in the provincial-level football tournament.
Hosted by District Youth Services and Sports Office Srinagar, the tournament was organised for girls under 17 & 19 years. Team Srinagar beat Budgam by 6 goals to Nil. Budgam made their best efforts but couldn’t score a single goal. With this final the tournament came to an end for under 17 age group.
The competitions in the same discipline for under 19 girls is scheduled from 12/10/2023 at Bakshi Stadium Srinagar. The Tournament is being played under the theme of ‘MERI MAATI MERA DESH ‘ and Drug free Srinagar campaign.
In another important activity of the day, all age groups participated in the Annual Athletic Meet for Boys and Girls inter-school/ District Level at S P College Ground Srinagar. Meanwhile Inter District/ Provincial level softball tournament is underway at Gindun Ground Rajbagh Srinagar in which Six Districts of Kashmir Province are participating.
