Srinagar: Police on Wednesday said that a militant associate owing allegiance to LeT/TRF militant outfit was arrested , Stating therein further that two hand grenades , cash and other incriminating materials were recovered from the possession of the said militant associate in Baramulla.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar Police said that after following a specific input regarding movement of militants in Ushkara area of Baramulla a joint checkpoint was on 1oth October established jointly by Baramulla Police, Army (46RR), MI and 53Bn CRPF in the said area and during checking, a suspicious person who was coming towards the checkpoint tried to flee from the spot after noticing the joint party, but was apprehended tactfully by the alert party.
Stating that during the search of the said accused two hand grenades, cash amounting to Rs. 40K and other incriminating materials were recovered from the accused identified as Mudasir Ahmad Bhat S/o Abdul Hamid Bhat R/o Ushkara Baramulla owing allegiance to LeT/TRF militant outfit, Police in the concluding para of it’s above quoted statement further said that acase under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Baramulla besides which further investigation into the case have been also initiated.
