Jammu : Police on Wednesday said that it has recovered 35 bottles of illicit liquor in Pallanwala Jammu and also arrested one accused in this connection.
In a statement issued on Wednesday a spokesman of District Police Jammu said “An input was received at Police Post Pallanwala regarding one person selling illicit liquor in the area under the jurisdiction of Police Post Pallanwala”, adding that “In this regard, case FIR No. 95/2023 U/s 48-(f) Excise Act got registered at PP Pallanwala and investigation was also initiated”.
Stating that special police teams of Police Post Pallanwala led by SDPO Akhnooor Mohan Sharma assisted by SHO Police Station Khour Inspr Rahul Mahajan and I/C Police Post Pallanwala ASI Raj Singh did strenuous efforts and with the help of CCTV footages of the area finally rounded up the accused later identified as Sita Ram /S/O Bachan Lal R/O Samwam, Police in it’s statement further said that further investigation of the case is going on.
