SKUAST-K holds awareness sessions on dual degree program with WSU Australia

Srinagar: Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir (SKUAST-K) on Tuesday held awareness sessions to sensitize students about the collaborative Dual Degree Programme initiated between Western Sydney University (WSU) Australia and SKUAST-K.
According to a statement issued from Public Relations Office SKUAST-K the sessions were held by SKUAST-K’s International Education Centre, Directorate of Education at the Faculty of Forestry and the Faculty of Fisheries campuses.
Members of the International Education Centre, led by Prof Mohammad Anwar Bhat, along with Dr Sameera Qayoom, Dr Ajaz Malik, and Dr Mudasir Kirmani engaged with the students to provide them with detailed information about the Dual Degree Programme that offers students a unique platform for international exposure and academic excellence.
At the Faculty of Forestry, Prof SA Gangoo, Dean Faculty of Forestry, while highlighting the opportunities the dual degree program offers, said it enables students to access a global education along with deep-rooted local knowledge.
At the Faculty of Fisheries, Prof Farooz Ahmad Bhat, Dean Faculty of Fisheries, stressed the importance of such collaborative initiatives in broadening the horizons of students and preparing them for the challenges of the globalized world.
During the sensitization, students were provided comprehensive information about the dual degree programme, including its curriculum, international exposure opportunities, and the potential benefits it offers for their academic and professional growth.
