DC Rajouri reviews progress of Power sector projects

Rajouri : To enhance the standard of living by ensuring uninterrupted power supply to the residents of Rajouri, Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal on Tuesday chaired a comprehensive review meeting to assess the progress of power sector projects in the district.
The meeting was attended by the Chief Planning Officer, Mohammad Khurshid, XEN PDD Rajouri, Mohd Rashid, along with other concerned officers. The primary focus of this meeting was to evaluate the status of various power sector projects undertaken as part of the District capex budget, DDC, BDC, PRI grants and SSY.
During the review, it was informed that a total of 112 projects had been approved, with an impressive 101 projects already having been allotted. Furthermore, a notable achievement was the completion of 09 projects, signifying tangible progress in the infrastructure development of the region. These projects have been carefully proposed to fortify the essential infrastructure of the area, thereby ensuring uninterrupted power supply to the people of Rajouri.
Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal, cognizant of the importance of these projects in improving the lives of the residents of the district, stressed the urgency of expediting the allotment process. He underscored the need to adhere to strict timelines to ensure the timely completion of all projects. This commitment to adhering to schedules aligns with the goal of administration of guaranteeing continuous and adequate power supply to the public.
“Our priority is to enhance the quality of life for our citizens by providing them with reliable power infrastructure. This review is a testament to our dedication to this cause. We are committed to creating an environment where residents can thrive, and this begins with reliable access to electricity,” the Deputy Commissioner said.
By facilitating the timely completion of these projects, the District Administration aims to not only enhance the infrastructure of the region but also significantly elevate the standard of living for the people of Rajouri.
The meeting ended with a call to action for all officers involved in these projects, with a renewed commitment to ensuring that the people of Rajouri can soon enjoy a better quality of life, powered by reliable and uninterrupted electricity.
