Bandipora: Various departments including Sheep Husbandry, Animal Husbandry, Agriculture and its allied sectors Monday held awareness programmes at Tulail block of Gurez Subdivision under Aspirational Blocks Programme (ABP).
The programmes were organised to educate common people, especially farmer community of the block regarding different farmer welfare schemes kept available by the government for their overall well being.
On the occasion officials from the Sheep Husbandry department threw detailed light on the various ongoing activities of the Department including artificial insemination in goats, livestock registration on INAPH portal and subsidized livestock insurance under National Livestock Mission (NLM).
The farmers were made aware about feeding management during winter period and were apprised about the profitable scientific management of livestock.
The farmers were further informed regarding the Holistic Agricultural Development Programme (HADP) of the Government of J&K for upgrading the agriculture and allied sectors.
