Srinagar: J&K Public Service Commission, on Monday convened a condolence meeting under the Chairmanship of its Chairperson, Satish Chandra, to condole the demise of Former PSC Member, Choudhary Bashir Ahmad.
The members of PSC, Secretary PSC and officers of the Commission besides staff attended the condolence meeting.
Pertinently, Late Ch Bashir Ahmad served as member of J&K Public Service Commission from 27.03.2002 to 26.03.2007.
The speakers highlighted the contribution of late member as an able Jurist and source of inspiration for others. His role especially as member of the Commission was lauded.
It was observed that he served the J&K in different capacitates and left his indelible mark on the administrative landscape.
The Chairman, in his concluding remarks, said that Ch. Bashir Ahmad earned great respect and regard due to his friendly and polite behaviour and his contribution will always be remembered.
The meeting concluded with observance of silence as token of respect to the departed soul.
