DC Doda reviews arrangements for forthcoming festivals

Doda: The District Administration of Doda, under the guidance of Deputy Commissioner Vishesh Mahajan, convened a meeting to discuss preparations for the upcoming Navratri, Maha Navami and Dussehra festivals falling on October 15th, 23rd, and 24th, respectively. The meeting, held in the DC office complex , covered various aspects of festival arrangements, including sanitation, security, electricity supply, traffic management, and other provisions.
In a virtual discussion, DC Doda engaged with key officials, including ADC Bhaderwah, ASP Bhaderwah, SDMs of Gandoh, Assar, Thathri, and others. They deliberated on security measures, venues for effigy burning during Dussehra, uninterrupted power supply during Navratri, traffic coordination, and ration distribution. Emphasis was placed on maintaining cleanliness around temples and promoting sanitation messages. All magistrates and police officers were directed to be present during processions, with a strict prohibition on anti-social slogans.
The Deputy Commissioner stressed the importance of interdepartmental coordination to ensure the successful celebration of the festivals. The Health Department was tasked with providing medical facilities around temple premises, while the Police were urged to enhance security at the temples. PHE and PDD Departments were instructed to ensure uninterrupted water and power supply, and the Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs authorities were directed to guarantee sufficient ration and LPG cylinder supplies. Traffic management and signage for devotees’ convenience were also highlighted.
The meeting was attended by the Superintendent engineer, hydraulic circle Doda, Superintendent engineer JKPDCL DODA, ACR Doda, CMO Doda, Tehsildar Doda, Assistant Director FCS and CA Doda, Executive Engineer Jal Shakti department Doda , Executive Engineer JKPDCL Doda , AD fire and emergency services Doda, and Executive Officer MC Doda. The meeting was also attended in virtual mode by ADC Bhaderwah, ASP Doda, SDMs of Gandoh, Assar, Thathri, all tehsildars, SDPOs and Executive Officers MC Thathri/Bhadrrwah, and other concerned officials.
