J&K Police Committed to provide better and secure environment to J&K People: DGP Dilbag

Police Chief visits Ang, Interacts with joint party of Police, Army, CAPFs that was part of Kulgam encounter

Srinagar: Director General J&K Police Dilbag Singh during his visit to the High Ground area of Anantnag District here on Thursday said that Jammu and Kashmir Police in tandem with other security forces are working with great commitment and resolve to demolish the remnants of militancy in J&K.
Interacting with the joint party of Police, Army and CAPFs that was part of Wednesday’s encounter in Kulgam District in which two militants were killed the DGP appreciated the swift and clean operation of tracking down and eliminating the militants. He said that J&K Police in tandem with other security forces are working with great commitment and resolve to demolish the remnants of militancy in Jammu and Kashmir. He said that we are commitment to provide a better and secure environment to the people of Jammu and Kashmir who have seen the worst times of Pakistan sponsored disturbance and destruction during over the last three decades. He also presented rewards to the personnel who were part of Kulgam encounter.
The DGP said that Jawans and officers working in Jammu and Kashmir have been displaying indomitable courage while fighting different challenges which he said has strengthened peace in Jammu & Kashmir. He said that he is proud of the dedication and commitment exhibited by one and all in maintaining peace and order in the J&K and added that we have to respond to each and every evil design of militants dictated from across the border more strongly. The J&K Police Chief stressed for utilizing the technical as well as human resources in tracking and elimination of the remaining militants. He also directed for monitoring and keeping vigilance on terror support systems to demolish the ecosystem. He said that barring few instances, the J&K is by and large peaceful for that he congratulated personnel of police, other security forces and people for their joint efforts. The DGP also cautioned the forces and people of J&K about the conspiracy of Pakistan which has been making continuous attempts to disturb peace and tranquility of Jammu and Kashmir. The DGP directed for taking the war on drugs to the next level as Pakistan is now using drugs to generate funds for militant activities and to spoil the lives of youth.
Top army and police officers accompanying the J&K DGP Dilbag Singh include General Officer Commanding (GOC) Counter Insurgency Victor Force, Maj General Balbir Singh, YSM, VSM, Brig. Amandeep Malli, VSM Comdr 1 Sector RR, DIG South Kashmir Rage Rayees Mohammad Bhat, Col Vishal Kumar Singh, CO 1RR, SSP Anantnag Ashish Kumar Mishra, SSP Kulgam Sahil Sarangal and other senior officers of District Anantnag and Kulgam were present on the occasion.
