Manujinder Singh, the Mahatma Gandhi National Fellow (MGNF) for District Doda, presented a comprehensive report on the program’s objectives and action plan. Singh detailed various artisan-based schemes and self-help groups related to skills development in the committee meeting for discussion and approval.
During the meeting, expert committee members provided insights into the challenges hindering the implementation of the skills development program and offered valuable suggestions to overcome these bottlenecks.
DDC Doda emphasized the importance of identifying the right stakeholders to implement the skills development program effectively. He also urged the motivation of women for handicrafts and beauty-related courses and proposed introducing driving courses, including dumper and JCB driving and operating courses, at ITIs.
