Pulwama: 130 BN CRPF organised a programme at Toll-plaza Kai Chachkoot to cheer women bikers of CRPF heading to Ekta Nagar, Gujarat. Earlier in the day the CRPF Women Bike Rally was flagged off by Lt Governor Manoj Sinha from Lal Chowk, Srinagar.
The bike rally will culminate on birth anniversary of Sh Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel observed as National Unity Day on 31st October 2023 at Ekta Nagar, Gujarat. 2 other such rallies of CRPF women bikers from Shillong and Kanyakumari will also reach Ekta Nagar on the same day.
School children,mainly girls, from Govt Higher Secondary School, Charsoo were main part of the gathering that welcomed and cheered the women bikers. Lady wives of local CRPF establishments a/w women from different walks of life from surrounding areas too lended their support to the bikers.
Mrs and Mr Alok Avasthy, DIG South Kashmir Ops Range, CRPF led the grand welcome of women bikers in presence of Smt Samima Raina, Chairman, Awantipora Municipal Committee. School children carrying national flags and “Beti-Bachao Beto-Padhao” placards in their hands were seen highly enthusiastic during the event.
