Rajouri : The District Administration of Rajouri played a pivotal role in bringing the nationwide launch of ‘Sankalp Saptah’ closer to its residents by actively engaging in the live telecast of the event.
This program, which aligns closely with the Aspirational Blocks Programme (ABP), was officially launched by the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi on Saturday at Bharat Mandapam, ITPO, New Delhi.
Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal and District officers along with DDC Member Rajouri, Sai Abdul Rashid, and PRI members from the aspirational block Khawas, were present during the event.
The Aspirational Blocks Programme (ABP), initiated by the Prime Minister on January 7, 2023, seeks to enhance governance at the block level, directly benefiting citizens. The ‘Sankalp Saptah’ represents the culmination of thoughtful deliberations conducted during chintan shivirs at village and block levels across the nation.
During ‘Sankalp Saptah,’ observed in all 500 Aspirational Blocks, each day from October 3rd to October 9th, 2023, will be dedicated to a specific development theme. The themes include ‘Sampoorna Swasthya,’ ‘Suposhit Pariwaar,’ ‘Swachhta,’ ‘Krishi,’ ‘Shiksha,’ and ‘Samridhi Diwas.’ The concluding day, October 9, 2023, will celebrate the collective achievements of the entire week, marked as ‘Sankalp Saptaah – Samavesh Samaroh.’
Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal, passionately emphasized the pivotal role of all stakeholders in the forthcoming Sankalp Saptah. In insightful discussions on matters of paramount public significance, the Deputy Commissioner rallied the Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs), urging them to forge a harmonious alliance.
Together, they are poised to orchestrate a symphony of transformative initiatives, including Swasthya Melas, Poshan Melas, Swacchta Ek Sankalp, Krishi Melas, Shiksha Ek Sankalp, and Sammridhi Divas, meticulously tailored to empower rural livelihoods across every nook and cranny of Aspirational blocks.
The District Administration of Rajouri is dedicated to ensuring that the benefits of the ‘Sankalp Saptah’ reach the grassroots level, fostering a brighter future for the people of the region.
