Srinagar: To express solidarity and perceive the well-being of the families of Police Martyrs, Police on Tuesday facilitated a meeting with the next of kins (NOKs) of slain cops in Ganderbal.
According to a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar, the meeting was held on the directions of SSP Ganderbal Nikhil Borkar at District Police Lines Ganderbal and was chaired by DySP DAR Nazir Ahmad in which NOKs of slain cops and other Police Officers participated.
The meeting was organised to take stock of the welfare of the families of slain cops who laid their precious lives in safeguarding the sovereignty and integrity of the nation. DySP DAR DPL Ganderbal while addressing the NOK’s of slain cops assured them of every possible help and lauded the role played by their loved ones in sacrificing their lives for the sake of the nation. He further said that police will always remain indebted to their services by creating an atmosphere of peace and stability. Further, the chairing officer emphasised the NOKs of slain cops to consider the Police department as their own family and share their problems with us at any time.
During the interaction, various grievances were raised by the participants and they were assured by chairing officer that their grievances would be taken up with concerned quarters at an appropriate level for timely redressal.
