Bandipora: Following the directions of Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, ADDC Bandipora, Ali Afsar Khan Saturday conducted an inspection of several Panchayats designated for special booth camps in lieu of the preparation of second supplementary panchayat electoral roll.
The ADDC visited different panchayats including Naidkhai, Nowgam, Hajin, Ganasthan besides panchayats in Sumbal block.
Other senior officers of district administration including Nodal Officer Coordination Mohammad Ashraf Hakak and Assistant Commissioner Revenue Bandipora Shabir Ahmad also visited different designated panchayats in the district.
The special booth camps have been established to address any discrepancies and omissions in the electoral roll and to provide people with a hassle-free opportunity to register themselves for the upcoming Panchayat elections.
ADDC said that the administration encourages all eligible residents of Naidkhai, Nowgam, Hajin, Ganasthan, and Sumbal Blocks to visit their nearest special booth camp and verify their electoral details or register themselves if they have not already done so.
