J&K Police to organize “Run for Peace” Kashmir Marathon – 2023 on Oct, 2

Srinagar: The Jammu and Kashmir Police is going to organize “Run for Peace” Kashmir Marathon – 2023 event at Srinagar on 2ndOctober, 2023under its Civic Action Programme.
According to a statement issued from J&K Armed Police Headquarters Srinagar, areview meeting was held on Friday at APHQ Conference Hall Srinagar which was chaired by JavidMujtabaGeelani ADGP Armed J&K,in connection with smooth conduct ofthe “Run for Peace” Kashmir Marathon – 2023 event scheduled to be held at Lake View Police Golf Course Boulevard Road Srinagar. The event is being organized under the patronage of Dilbag Singh DGP J&K whereas S.J.M Gillani ADGP Armed J&K will bethe Chairman of the organizing committee and Shahid Mehraj DIG Armed Kashmir Range shall be the organizing Secretary of the event.
During the meeting all the necessary arrangements for successful conduct of the event were discussedthreadbare and all the related aspects of the event were deliberated upon.
In the event, approximately 3000 athletes from across J&K are expected to participate in the 13 categories of the said event. For registration of the athletes who are interested to participate in the said event, 9 registration counters have already been established across J&K w.e.f September10th, 2023up to September 25th, 2023 at different locations viz: SDPO Office Nehru Park, Lake View Police Golf Course Srinagar, S.K Indoor Sports Complex Srinagar, Kashmir University, Gindun ground Rajbagh Srinagar, Police Public School Bemina, Gulshan Ground Jammu, M.A Stadium Jammu and Jammu University.
The meeting was attended among others by Sujit Kumar, DIG CKR; Shahid Mehraj, DIG Armed Range Kashmir; Shiv Ram, SP East Srinagar City; Suhail Mir, SSP CBK Srinagar and other officers.
