Awantipora: The Women Entrepreneurship Development Cell (WEDC), CIED -IUST organized Entrepreneurship Awareness and Sensitization Camp for the students of Government Degree College, Pulwama.
According to a statement issued from Public Relations Office IUST here, the students attended multiple sessions and were introduced to scope of entrepreneurship, innovation and start ups ecosystem. Dr. Parvez Ahmed Mir, Director CIED advised the students to nurture their innovative spirits and focus on entrepreneurship. He asked the students to explore their creativity and develop on innovative ideas. The students were briefed about the Seed capital support extended by CIED to the potential entrepreneurs.
Dr. Rumaan Bashir Coordinator WEDC emphasized the pivotal role of acquiring relevant skills. She highlighted the skill courses offered by IUST under the Kalam Academy of Skills and Training. Dr Ruheela Hassan, member WEDC introduced the students about the importance of nurturing curiosity and channelizing energies into productive venturers. She also talked about, “Design your Degree” programme that the university has introduced whereby students can themselves explore and steer their learning journeys based on their interest and potential. The team also had the opportunity to engage with incubates at CIED who underscored the significance of mentorship in the entrepreneurial journey, highlighting the effective mentorship services available at IUST.
