The Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by XEN PWD Nowshera B.K Raina.
Situated on National Highway NH144A, Lamberi serves as a crucial geographic point, with easy accessibility from Rajouri, Kalakote, Sunderbani, Budhal, and Poonch. The hospital, with a total of three floors and an allotted cost of Rs 3.75 Crore, is anticipated to be completed by January 2026. Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal emphasized the importance of adhering to high-quality construction standards and urged the project team to strive for its completion well before the set deadline.
Speaking about the commitment of the Government to improve healthcare access in hilly and remote areas, Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal described the MCH Hospital in Lamberi as a cornerstone of Maternal & Child Health services.
The facility will cater to institutional deliveries, high-risk pregnancy management and facility-based care for newborns, making healthcare services more accessible to the community.
The execution of this project demonstrates the unwavering dedication of the Government to ensure the well-being of the residents of the region. Once operational, the Mother Child Care Hospital in Lamberi will serve as a vital healthcare hub, enhancing the quality of life for the people of Rajouri and Poonch.
