“Police in Amrit Kal”: Police organises awareness prog for students in Kulgam

Srinagar : Police in Kulgam under the aegis of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mohatsav’ on Thursday organized one day awareness programme under the theme “Police in Amrit Kall” for the students in Kulgam.
According to a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar the programme was chaired by SSP Kulgam Sahil Sarangal, besides, the SDPO Qazigund, SDPO DH Pora, DySP DAR Kulgam, DySP PC Kulgam, DySP PC Hatipora and SHO Police Station Kulgam were present on the occasion.
On this occasion, the programme was actively participated by a large number of students from different schools of district Kulgam. The participating students were given the idea about the Police department, its ranks, functioning and policing, etc. Besides, they were shown the various establishments including DPO Kulgam and their day-to-day working in the Police department.
Besides, the SSP Kulgam interacted with students, encouraged and assured them of providing all possible support in future. He advised the students to concentrate upon their studies besides, taking part in co-curricular activities.
Later, SSP Kulgam along with other officers distributed participation certificates among the participants. Moreover, refreshment was served to all the participants.
Moreover, the participating students appreciated the role of the Police department and requested to organise such kind of awareness programmes in future to bridge the gap between police & Public.
