Kathua: District Development Commissioner Kathua, Rakesh Minhas on Thursday chaired a meeting of District and Sectoral officers, here in the conference hall of DC complex to review the performance of line departments.
At the outset, the DC enjoined upon heads of departments to complete the tendering process of all works approved under current year Capex by end of September to rule out any inordinate delay in completing works within the set timelines.
The DC impressed upon the officers to issue notice to those contractors who haven’t started the work, and if needed, penalize them.
While discussing the road map for achieving 100% Capex targets, the DC exhorted the line departments to work with utmost dedication to achieve the target.
The meeting also discussed the way forward on inter-departmental issues causing hindrance in smooth execution of works.
While calling extra efforts, the DC asked the departments to complete all development projects taken up under CAPEX well before deadlines.
CPO, Uttam Singh, Executive Engineers of R&B, Jal Shakti, Irrigation, CMO, CEO and other concerned officers were also present at the meeting.
