This incident not only highlights a grave lapse in security but also exposes the vulnerability of patients who place their trust in healthcare institutions. The sanctity of the labour room, where the delicate process of childbirth unfolds, is sacrosanct. However, recent occurrences like babies disappearing, infants being switched, maternal deaths due to medical negligence, and even reports of hospital staff extorting money from patients’ relatives have cast a dark shadow over the noble profession of medicine. The profession of medicine is revered for its dedication to preserving life and providing care to those in need. To uphold the sanctity of this noble calling, it is imperative to establish stringent security measures and stringent checks within healthcare facilities.
Security Concerns in Hospitals:
