Kulgam: In pursuance to the directions from the Deputy Commissioner Kulgam during the previous NCORD meeting, a special inspections drive was on Wednesday conducted within the interior and far flung areas of Devsar Kulgam (Hablish, Cheyan Adigam, Malpora Zeyan , Chowgam, Brinal and Lammer) by Drug Control Authorities.
The inspection was carried out to ensure compliance to the provisions of Drugs and Cosmetics Act 1940 and Rules there under and conditions of licenses/safe dispensing of drugs especially Scheduled formulations medicine.
Three establishments were recommended for suspension and three other shops were served with show cause notices during these inspections.
Various drug samples were also lifted for test and analysis in order to ensure availability of safe and efficacious medicine.
Sensitization sessions were also conducted with the chemists with respect to Computerized billing system, maintenance of records to give more insights and significant commands for streamlining the process of computerised billing system and more importantly the creation and raising of digital invoices.
All the chemists of the Kulgam area have been already instructed to ensure 100% compliance for installation of CCTV cameras.
