DC B’pora presides over Mega Block Diwas, Conducts extensive review of Developmental Works of B’pora Town

Bandipora: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Bandipora, Dr Owais Ahmad Wednesday presided over a mega Block Diwas for Block Bandipora at Conference Hall, Mini Secretariat, here.
The block diwas programme was attended by ADDC Bandipora, Ali Afsar Khan; Nodal Officer Coordination, Mohammad Ashraf Hakak; ADC Bandipora, Umar Shafi; President Municipal Council Bandipora, Basharat Najar besides councilors of all the wards of Municipal Council Bandipora, members of Traders Federation, Civil Society and other prominent citizens of Town Bandipora.
During the program, the DC was apprised regarding ongoing developmental projects. The DC conducted a thorough review of the ongoing developmental works in Bandipora town including assessment of infrastructure projects, healthcare facilities, sanitation, traffic management, and macadamization process besides review of educational institutions.
Dr Owais patiently listened to the issues and demands raised by the participants. The demands included children’s park, marriage hall, slaughter house besides issues related to new bus adda, status of PMAY (U) scheme were also brought into the notice and threadbare discussion with the concerned were held on the occasion.
The DC directed the concerned to expedite the pace of execution of works to ensure that the benefits of these projects reach the people of Bandipora at the earliest. The concerned authorities were further directed to remove all the bottlenecks, which act as hindrances in development works in the town.
Furthermore, Dr Owais addressed concerns related to pending works and emphasized the need for their swift resolution. He sought assurance from the concerned authorities that no stone would be left unturned to bring these initiatives to fruition.
Addressing the participants, the DC said that the development of Bandipora is not just a responsibility but a mission. He said that we collectively should be dedicated to ensure that the people of this district enjoy the highest quality of life.
Among others, JD Planning, Tehsildar Bandipora, District Information Officer, Executive Officer MC Bandipora, ExEn R&B Bandipora, and concerned officers of all line departments were also present on the occasion.
