Pulwama Cricket League-2023 concludes, MCC Kakapora emerged as winners

Srinagar: Pulwama Cricket Leage-2023 concluded here on Monday with a colourful closing ceremony after the final match of the tournament was played at Sports Stadium Lelhar.
According to a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar the SSP Pulwama Mohd Yousif was Chief Guest, besides, the DySP DAR DPL Pulwama, DySP Kakapora, SHO PS Kakapora besides, other officers of district and a huge number of spectators & sports lovers of the district also attended the closing ceremony.
Moreover, the final match of the T20 cricket tournament was played between MCC Kakapora and Blue Cap Lelhar in which MCC Kakapora emerged as winners after defeated Blue Cap Lelhar by 17 runs.
Furthermore, the tournament was played on knock out basis in which 16 teams from different areas of Kakapora-belt participated with great enthusiasm, passion and valour.
At the closing ceremony, SSP Pulwama stressed the participants that Police aims to provide opportunities for them to chase their dreams. He also said that these sports events are more than just games as it keeps people fit and away from negative influences. SSP Pulwama thanked the cricket lovers & the participating teams for their sportsmanship and enthusiasm during the tournament.
Later, the SSP Pulwama presented trophies and medals to winner team and runner up team. The winning team and runner-up team were awarded with Trophies, Cash Prize of Rs. 20,000/- and Rs. 10,000/- respectively. Man of the Match award comprising of Cricket Bat & Trophy was given to Adil Rashid and Man of the series award containing Sports Kit & Trophy was given to Adil Rasool. SSP Pulwama thanked the players, spectators and the people who witnessed the event and made the event successful.
