Rajouri: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal, led a comprehensive review of the arrangements for the imminent launch of the prestigious “PM Vishwakarma Kaushal Samman Yojana” in the district.
This visionary scheme, introduced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Independence Day, is set to empower traditional artisans with crucial financial support, marking a significant stride in preserving and nurturing India’s rich cultural heritage of traditional craftsmanship.
During the meeting, Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal stressed the importance of thorough planning and flawless execution to ensure that the benefits of the Vishwakarma Yojana reach every eligible artisan in Rajouri district. He underscored the necessity for a streamlined application process, transparent fund distribution, and robust monitoring mechanisms to track the progress of the scheme effectively.
The Vishwakarma Yojana will provide essential financial support to traditional artisans, enabling them to preserve and transmit their age-old skills to future generations. Eligible artisans will benefit from financial assistance, technical training, and exposure to modern markets, thus securing both their livelihoods and our cultural heritage.
Deputy Commissioner Vikas Kundal passionately urged all concerned officials to work tirelessly to ensure the seamless implementation of the Vishwakarma Yojana in Rajouri district. He expressed his confidence that this scheme would empower artisans while contributing to the economic growth and cultural enrichment of the region.
As the wheels of progress turn, Rajouri district eagerly anticipates the positive impact the Vishwakarma Yojana will bring to its skilled artisans, their families, and the entire community. With dedicated efforts and a shared vision, we aim to rejuvenate and celebrate our traditional craftsmanship through this transformative initiative.
The meeting was attended by the Chief Planning Officer, Mohammad Khurshid; General Manager DIC, Ashwini Sharma; Deputy Director Employment, Qadeer Ul Rehman; Principal ITI Rajouri, Ujjwal Mahajan, and other concerned officers.
