DC Kathua reviews functioning of Revenue Deptt

DC directs efficient delivery of online services, timely disposal of court cases

Kathua : Deputy Commissioner Kathua, Rakesh Minhas chaired a meeting of Revenue officers to discuss revenue matters here in the Conference Hall of the DC office complex on Saturday.
At the outset, the DC took detailed review of the online services being provided by the revenue department in the district. He asked the functionaries to keep a tab on the quality of disposal to facilitate the public in getting hassle free services.
Reviewing other matters, the DC laid focus on speeding up the processing of land acquisition cases lying with revenue authorities of different administrative units.
The DC impressed upon Tehsildars to personally monitor the verification of digitized Jamabandis and its correction so that the task of registering shall be completed within a set timeframe. He also called for holding of regular camps and field visits in respective jurisdictions to oversee timely updation of revenue records by concerned Patwaris.
While reviewing the status of SWAMITVA scheme, the DC exhorted the revenue officials to speed up the mapping process of the revenue villages besides expediting the digitization process of revenue records within the set timelines.
The meeting also discussed other revenue matters such as digitisation of cadastral maps, wherein thrust was laid on regular monitoring and reporting besides furnishing of action taken reports at the district headquarters.
Regarding the Revenue Court Cases Monitoring System (RCCMS), the DC stressed upon revenue officers to dispose of the pending matters on priority besides uploading their updated status on the prescribed portal regularly. He said revenue authorities must focus on quality disposal of court cases to give respite to the applicants within the earliest possible time.
Other issues discussed during the meeting were geo-referencing data, land acquisition for JJM assets, active use of BSNL CUG services.
ADC Kathua, ADC Billawar, ADC Basohli, ACR Kathua, SDM Hiranagar, SDM Bani, Tehsildars and other Revenue Officers attended the meeting.
