Inter-Zonal Distt Level Athletics Meet for U/17 Boys & Girls Commences at Kishtwar

Kishtwar: The exhilarating Inter-Zonal District-Level Athletics meet for U/17 boys and girls commenced on Thursday here on the Chowgan Grounds. District Youth Services and Sports Officer, Kherati Lal Sharma is supervising the .
Deputy Commissioner Dr. Devansh Yadav was the Chief Guest on the occasion. He was accorded a hearty reception with a guard of honor by the sports teachers and employees of the Sports Department.
The teacher trainees and the Resource persons of the ongoing Refresher Course being conducted by the District Sports & Youth Services Department, also graced the event with their presence, adding to the grandeur of the occasion.
In his address, the Deputy Commissioner highlighted the significance of sports in nurturing talent, promoting unity, and fostering a healthy and drug-free society. He encouraged the participants to give their best performances throughout the tournament.
He further encouraged students to exhibit good behavior during the sports and developed the spirit of sportsmanship to contribute to the resounding success of the tournament.
On the day 1 of the Athletics Meet, the U/17 boys and girls categories captivated spectators with their remarkable performances in various disciplines of the Athletics Meet. The prestigious Chowgan Ground provided the perfect backdrop for these awe-inspiring displays of athleticism.
An impressive participation of 110 students, representing different Zones from across the District, added to the success and enthusiasm of the meet. Their enthusiasm, passion, and competitive spirit have truly elevated the level of competition and made this event a resounding success.
