Srinagar : Fateh-e-Khawani of Himayun Muzamil Bhat, DySP of J&K Police, who was martyard in an encounter in Kokernag area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district, on 13th September will be held on Saturday,16th September 2023 at local graveyard of Friends Colony, near Srinagar Airport, family sources said.

They said that, Later a congregational Fateh-e-Khawani will be held at his home in Friends Colony Humhama, Budgam.

Himayun Bhat, son of retired Inspector General (IG) of Police, Ghulam Hassan Bhat, was killed in an encounter in Kokrenag along with 2 Army Officers on Wednesday.

Amid moist eyes, Himayun was laid to rest at Friends Colony graveyard Humhama around midnight.

Earlier Wreath laying ceremony was held at DPL in Srinager, where LG Manoj Sinha and other senior Police and Civil officials laid floral wreath and paid tributes to the martyard DySP for sacrificing his life in the line of duty.
