Akashvani Jammu, Krishi Vigyan Kendra Samba celebrate India’s G-20 presidency themed “Khush Hal Kisan Desh Ka Samman”

Samba: Akashvani Jammu celebrated India’s G-20 presidency in collaboration with Krishi Vigyan Kendra Samba on the theme “Khush Hal Kissan Desh Ka Samman” at KVK Samba.
The event was held under the leadership of Professor. Bhupinder Nath Tripathi, Vice-Chancellor, SKUAST-Jammu and the direct supervision of Dr.S.K. Gupta, Director Extension SKUAST-Jammu.
District Development Council Chairman, Keshav Dutt Sharma was the chief guest, while Renu Raina, Programme Head, Akashwani Jammu was guest of Honor. Jatinder Kumar, District Agriculture Officer, Samba and Shalendra Kumar Sharma, DDM NABARD Samba were the Special guests.
Prof. Sanjay Khajuria, Chief Scientist & Head, Krishi Vigyan Kendra Samba presided over the program. Progressive farm woman cum Sarpanch of Pyt halqua Sangwal Tejinder Kour and Progressive farmer Arjan Singh acted as key speakers.
More than 70 farmers/farm women of district Samba enthusiastically participated in this programme.
Earlier, the programme started with the welcome address by Ravi Kant Sharma Prasar Bharti, Akashwani Jammu. He welcomed all the dignitaries along with farmers/farm women as well as the speakers.
The Chairman DDC Samba Keshav Dutt Sharma in his address, appreciated the Prasar Bharti team led by Renu Rain Programme Head Aakashvani/Doordarshan Kendra Jammu as well team KVK Samba led Prf. Sanjay Khajuria Head KVK Samba for successful conduct of the seminar to celebrate India’s G-20 presidency on the theme “Khush Hal Kisan Desh Ka Samman”District Samba.
Renu Raina, Programme Head Prasar Bharati Akashvani Jammu, in her address, threw light on the successful conduct of India’s G-20 presidency recently at New Delhi. She also complimented team KVK Samba for successful organization of the seminar India’s G-20 presidency on the theme “Khush Hal Kisan Desh Ka Samman” at District Samba.
In his presidential address, Prof. Sanjay Khajuria congratulated the Govt of India led by the Prime Minister for making the event most successful. He also thanked Team Prasar Bharati Akashvani Jammu for organizing a seminar to celebrate India’s G-20 presidency in District Samba. Jitendar Kumar, DAO Extension Samba highlighted the various farmer friendly schemes for the benefit of the farmers. Shailendra Kumar Sharma, DDM NABARD also highlighted the various NABARD Schemes in the field of agriculture for the benefit of the farming community.
Keynote speakers shared their experience regarding farming and the cooperation and help provided by the KVK Samba to increase their income. The proceedings of the programme were successfully conducted by Ravi Kant Sharma.
The programme was made successful with the active participation of all the staff members of team KVK Samba and team Akashvani/Doordarshan Jammu. The vote of thanks was presented by Bachan Lal Bhagat, Programme Executive Akashvani Jammu.
