Srinagar: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kulgam has ordered establishment of a district-level control room to facilitate the smooth movement of fruit trucks in the district.
The control room will be headed by the Area Marketing Officer, Kulgam, and will involve local fruit growers, transporters, and a monitoring committee.
A communiqué issued by Deputy Commissioner Kulgam, reads “In view of the forthcoming fruit season, a District level control room is hereby established in the District with following composition, for hassle free movement of fruit trucks in the District.”
The control room will be staffed by six officers, including Viqar Ah Giri, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kulgam, GM Bhat, Additional Superintendent of Police, Headquarter, Kulgam, Ali Mohd, HQA to Deputy Commissioner, Abrar Ah Kraipak, Assistant Regional Transport Officer, Kulgam, Mohammad Arif, Area Marketing Officer and Nisar Ahmad Ganie, District Level SMS, Horticulture.
The DC has directed the control room to involve local fruit growers of the District for smooth movement of fruit trucks. He has also asked the control room to submit a daily report to his office
