Police facilitates Police Community Partnership Group (PCPG) meeting in Kulgam

Srinagar: A Police Community Partnership Group meeting (PCPG) at Police Station Qazigund here on Saturday.
According to a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar, the meeting was chaired by SDPO Qazigund, besides, SHO PS Qazigund and other officers & officials of Police Station Qazigund were also present on the occassion. The meeting was attended by prominent persons, youth, auqaf committee members, chowkidars, numberdars and other representatives of Qazigund and its adjacent areas.
During the interaction meeting, participants appreciated the process of organising such meetings by police department in which an opportunity is provided to highlight the prevailing issues of the society and seek their redressal. The officers present at the meet gave a patient hearing to their issues and assured them that their issues will be taken up with the concerned officers for appropriate action while as issues related to Police would be resolved on priority.
While addressing the participants, chairing officer urged them to strengthening the Police-public relations and also cooperate in eradicating all types of crime from the society so that a peaceful and crime free atmosphere is created in the area. The officer also request the participants to provide the information to police about smuggling of drugs and other illegal activities if any noticed for initiating appropriate action against the offenders.
The participants also appreciated the efforts of police in managing the traffic properly and eradicating the drug menace in the Qazigund area.
