Ganderbal: In order to review the steps being taken for beautification of Ganderbal town, Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Shyambir on Saturday convened a meeting of all the concerned departments.
During meeting the DC reviewed steps taken so far regarding beautification of the town and brief deliberation was held on various ongoing works like beautification of Beehama AmritSarovar, Marriage Hall Duderhama, construction of open gym at Wani Mohalla Saloora, newly constructed bus stand, renovation of Mini Secretariat, Dederhama Park, plantation, beautification of Qamaria park, multiple mechanical parking near clock tower and other works with in the town.
While reviewing the progress made on beautification works, the DC maintained that district administration is committed to give aesthetic look to the town thereby further enhancing the natural scenic beauty of town.
He directed the DFO Sindh Forest Division Ganderbal to prepare a plan for increasing the greenery canopy within the town and EO Municipal Council Ganderbal was asked to beautify the Qamaria Park by way of installing lights and other utilities.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the ARTO to ensure the newly constructed bus stand is fully functional so that better traffic management is ensured in the town area and EO Municipal Council Ganderbal was directed to ensure all fundamental facilities are available for commuters within the bus stand.
On the occasion, the DC directed the officers of all line departments to work in synergy and in unison so that works proposed under beautification plan are completed within the time limits.
