Reasi: The week-long “Bhrashtachar Mukt Jammu and Kashmir campaign concluded in the Reasi district, where individuals from all walks of life were enlightened about the various online services launched by different government departments. These services aim to provide hassle-free and corruption-free governance right at people’s doorsteps. The main event took place at the auditorium of the Reasi district administrative complex, with District Development Commissioner Babila Rakwal as the chief guest.
During the program, people and students were educated about these online services through informative PowerPoint presentations delivered by the Revenue Department, Finance Department, Social Welfare Department, and Jal Shakti Department. The overarching goal of this week-long campaign was to promote transparent and accountable governance.
The event commenced with a water testing demonstration conducted by members of the Implementing Support Agency (ISA) team using Field Test Kits (FTKs).
Additionally, the Department of Social Welfare Jammu organized an awareness and interactive program on “Drug Demand Reduction” in Reasi. This program was designed to raise awareness among the general public about the illicit trafficking of drugs, its harmful effects, and measures for control.
Tehsildar Reasi Suresh Singh during the programme briefed the people and students about the online services of the revenue department. He said that all 30 services of the department are available online.
To emphasize the dangers of drug abuse among young individuals, a thought-provoking “nukkad natak” (street play) on drug de-addiction was performed by the Abhinaya Kala Manch, Reasi.
Addressing the gathering, the District Development Commissioner highlighted the pivotal role of online services in achieving a corruption-free work culture within the administration. These digital solutions streamline government processes and reduce opportunities for corrupt practices. She underscored the importance of modern technology in the pursuit of a corruption-free Reasi.
Furthermore, the DDC shed light on various aspects of the Jal Jeevan Mission and outlined the steps being taken to ensure clean and safe drinking water for every household in the district.
The event also featured a pledge ceremony where district officers, students, and PRI (Panchayati Raj Institutions) members from Reasi district took an oath to uphold corruption-free practices and ensure an effective and efficient public service delivery system.
To cap off the event, the Deputy Commissioner of Reasi presented pension sanction letters to 31 beneficiaries and distributed prizes to the artists who performed the impactful “nukkad natak” as part of the Nasha Mukt Abhiyan (Anti-Drug Campaign).
The event garnered attendance from key figures, including the CEO Sunita Bali , DTO, Laiqat Khan District Social Welfare officer Sumit Suri, District Informatics Officer Ashish Dogra, officials from PHE,Irrigation departments, PRI members, and students.
