Accessibility to cellular networks would most probably give accessibility to digital banking facilities besides booking for hotels, airlines and railways to tourists even at the inaccessible tourist hilly resorts in Jammu & Kashmir.

The inauguration of the telecom towers of Jio Cellular company at Doodpathri the famous tourist resort in Central Kashmir’s Budgam district is not only the fulfillment of a long pending demand of the local population but also an initiative which would hopefully increase the tourist footfall at this tourist place and make it an ideal place for longer stays for the tourists in future. Never forget that tourists don’t usually prefer night stays at such tourist places which don’t have accessibility to cellular networks. Above all Cellular network connectivity does not only give accessibility to family and friends but also to online health facilities which are of greater importance for the tourists at inaccessible tourist places in any part of the world and same holds good for the tourists at inaccessible tourist spots in Jammu & Kashmir. Keeping in view the popularity of the Jio cellular company the beginning of the cellular connectivity with this famed cellular company at Doodhpathri is a welcome move but the accessibility of other cellular networks like BSNL, Airtel at this famed tourist place also deserves immediate attention and intervention of the Government. While many more tourist places are yet to get accessibility to different cellular networks in Budgam and other districts of Kashmir, the Government is yet to initiate the process for extending prompt telecom facilities to other tourist places which are yet to get accessibility to cellular networks. In Budgam district itself many more tourist places including Yousmarg and Tosamaidan too are yet to get the telecom facilities.

“The experiences of cellular connectivity at Doodhpathri would most hopefully be not only a trend settler but also a game changer for both the tourists and as well as the travel and tourist operators in the fast changing scenario of digitisation even at the inaccessible tourist places in Jammu & Kashmir like other parts of the country”.

Not only the local populations but travel and tourist operators are also hugely interested in prompt telecom facilities at many other tourist places which are yet to get accessibility to cellular networks like other parts of Kashmir valley. The interest shown by different departments in the installation Jio towers at Doodpathri has undoubtedly generated hopes of the installation of the mobile towers of other cellular companies not only at Doodhpathri but also at other tourist places which are yet to get accessibility to cellular networks. In fact accessibility to cellular networks would most probably give accessibility to digital banking facilities besides booking for hotels, airlines and railways to tourists even at the inaccessible tourist hilly resorts in Jammu & Kashmir. The experiences of cellular connectivity at Doodhpathri would most hopefully be not only a trend settler but also a game changer for both the tourists and as well as the travel and tourist operators in the fast changing scenario of digitisation even at the inaccessible tourist places in Jammu & Kashmir like other parts of the country.
