2 militant associates arrested in Pulwama, Incriminating materials also recovered: Police

Srinagar: Police on Friday said that it has arrested two militant associates linked with LeT militant outfit in Gudoora area of the district Pulwama and also recovered incriminating materials from their possession.
In a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar, Police said that while acting on specific intelligence inputs an intensive search was conducted by Pulwama Police in the apple orchards of Gudoora Pulwama, adding therein that during search operation two militant associates identified as Suhail Firdous S/o Firdous Ahmad Sheikh R/o Mahradpora Utterpora Puchal and Shahid Gul S/o Gh Mohd. Bhat R/o Wagum Pulwama were apprehended tactfully, besides the incriminating materials were also recovered from their possession. Police in it’s statement further said “the investigation revealed that both the accused persons were militant associates of an active militant Aqib Sher Gojri linked with LeT militant outfit”, adding that “ the investigation also reveals that arrested militant associates were in a conspiracy with militant Aqib Sher-Gojri to carry out militant attacks in Pulwama. In the concluding para of it’s statement Police said that the case was accordingly registered vide FIR No. 239/2023 under relevant sections of law at Police Station and further investigation has also been taken up.
