Srinagar: The department of Cardiovascular Thoracic Surgery on Wednesday conducted a live successful Cardio-radiologic hybrid workshop wherein patients of “Traumatic Aortic Dissection, Dissecting Aortic Aneurysm and huge abdominal Aorto Iliac Aneurysms where treated by Endovascular means and by interposition of Fem Fem graft in one patient
HOD CVTS, Prof. Abdul Majeed Dar informed that all patients are doing well.
According to a statement issued from Public Relations Office SKIMS, he added that all the patients were operated under ABPMJAY Scheme at nominal rate as compared to other hospitals of the Country. He thanked Director SKIMS Prof. Parvaiz A Koul for constant support. He appreciated the dedicated efforts of the Radiology team including Dr. Naseer Ahmad, Dr. Mudasir, Dr. Tahleel headed by Prof Feroze Shaheen, CVTS Faculty Dr. Zubair Ashraf , Dr. Farooq Ahmad Ganie and Anesthetic Team headed by Prof. Showkat Gurcoo and all technical staff of all teams especially Mrs Shakeela, Mr. Shameem and Mr Khalid.
Besides, the SKIMS is the only center in J&K where such high end procedures are performed. The CVTS team has already successfully operated a number of cardiac patients which include valvular, congenital and coronary artery disease patients.
