Secy J&K Advisory Board for DPSP Reviews Overall Dev of Pahari Hostel Bla

Baramulla: In order to take a firsthand appraisal of the basic facilities being provided to the students at Pahari Hostel Baramulla,
Secretary J&K Advisory Board for the Development of Pahari Speaking people, Sapna Kotwal paid an extensive tour to Baramulla and held a comprehensive review of the functioning of Hostel besides held an interaction with the students and staff.
The Secretary was accompanied by District Social Welfare Officer Baramulla, Sajad Ahmad Bhat and other functionaries of concerned departments.
During her visit, the Secretary inspected the facilities being provided to the residents and directed the staff to ensure proper cleanliness and better infrastructure for the convenience of students. The Secretary also held an interaction with the residing students during which she reiterated her commitment for providing of every possible facility.
Later, the Secretary also chaired a meeting with the concerned functionaries to review the status of various upcoming projects meant for the overall development of the Hostel. During the meeting, the Secretary emphasized the need for maintaining cleanliness in and around the institutions and serving healthy food to the residents as per the menu.
Moreover, Sapna Kotwal also instructed to conduct awareness programs to sensitize the public about the services provided by the hostels. She also exhorted for overall development of the residents and their participation in cultural and sports activities besides academic excellence.
Meanwhile, the Secretary also directed the wardens to remain vigilant on the issues of drug abuse to ensure that the residents stay away from any kind of drug.
