DE&CC launches 3- month “Data Entry Operator” course at Poonch

Poonch: The District Employment and Counseling Center Poonch on Wednesday launched a three-month skill development training for “Data Entry Operator” with ITI Poonch as the training provider.
Dr. Khalid Hussain Malik, Joint Director Employment, Jammu, presided as the event’s principal guest.
To bridge the employment gap between job seekers and the labour market, Dr. Malik emphasized the critical need of skill development. Due to the fact that practically all services are now provided online, he underlined the importance of these types of courses.
The demand for computer skills is anticipated to increase further as digitalization and internet connectivity continue to succeed, creating lucrative career possibilities in both the private and public sectors.
Dr. Malik also underlined the importance of the private sector as a source of lucrative career options and stated that finding employment in the government is not the only option.
All participants and dignitaries in attendance were given a warm welcome by Deputy Director Employment Poonch, Mohammad Rafiq. He urged the young people to fully commit to the programme, realizing that it may greatly improve their chances of finding jobs in the current job market.
The District Employment and Counseling Centre, Poonch, is commited to empowering local youth with useful skills and bridging the gap between job seekers and businesses in the digital age, as seen by the implementation of this skill development programme.
The event concluded with the vote of thanks presented by Javid Ahmed Superintendent ITI Poonch, expressed gratitude to all atendees/ trainers and District Employment and Counselling Centre Poonch for their unwavering commitment in making this skill development initiative a reality.
Later on, Joint Director Employment Jammu paid a visit to DE&CC Poonch and took a detail review of departmental deliverables: Registrations, Counselling, Job fairs and unemployment Survey and directed the officers/officials to achieve the set targets well in tme.
