DDC Doda finalises arrangements for Holy Kailash Yatra commencing from Sept 11

Bhaderwah: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Doda, Vishesh Mahajan, along with SSP, Abdul Qayoom on Wednesday convened a meeting in Dak Bunglow Bhaderwah to finalise the arrangements for forthcoming Kailash Yatra.
President Sanathan Dharam Sabha Bhaderwah informed the meeting about the schedule of forthcoming Kailash Yatra in the district and said that all arrangements are in place for the successful conduct of Yatra. He requested the administration to install gen-sets at all the halt points where Holy Mace stays for night.
The DDC issued immediate direction to the concerned to do the needful. It was informed that firewood has been procured and the track has been improved. Last year, 35,000 pilgrims visited the Holy place, and this year, more than 50,000 devotees are expected to pay obeisance during Kailash yatra.
The forthcoming Yatras, as informed by the president SDS, Kailash Yatra, is scheduled to be held from September 11 to September 12, 2023.
DDC and SSP Doda assured the devotees that foolproof security arrangements for the pilgrimage have been put in place. Availability of drinking water, presence of medical staffs along the route of Yatra, accommodation of pilgrims, arrangements of buses, arrangements of firewood at yatra venues, arrangements of power through Generators besides other facilities viz toilets at different locations enroute and at venues have been ensured for the smooth conduct of the yatra. Responding to the other issues raised by Sabha, the DDC issued on the spot directions and has instructed the officers to ensure all the arrangements are in place in advance.
The DDC further directed the officers to inform the yatris about keeping the yatra venues clean and use of dustbins installed at different halt points.
BDC chairman Omi Chand, DDC councilor Yudhvir Singh, ADC Bhaderwah Chowdhary Dil Mir, SE PWD, ACD Doda, GM DIC, DFO Bhaderwah, CAHO Doda, Tehsildar Bhaderwah, BDO Bhaderwah, Xen R&B Bhaderwah, other district and sectoral officers, representatives of various other departments and president Sanatan Dharam Sabha Bhaderwah, Kailash Sewa Sangh and other trusts were present in the meeting.
