DC Kathua presides over mega event at Town Hall under, Digital JK Week Bhrashtachar Mukt J&K campaigns

Kathua: As part of its series of events to promote Digital Literacy and transparent governance, District Administration Kathua on Wednesday hosted a mega event here in the town hall .
The event was well orchestrated to acquaint the public about the perils of corruption and the saga of digital transformation that J&K is witnessing. The event was marked by enthusiastic participation of citizens, government officials and various stakeholders who came together to champion the cause of cleaner and transparent governance.
Presiding over a mega event, the Deputy Commissioner Kathua, highlighted various schemes and initiatives taken by the government to provide corruption free governance in a hassle free and transparent manner. He informed the audience that J&K tops in digital governance by offering over 1000 citizen centric services thereby providing ease, convenience and accessibility at the single click from the comfort of home. These steps will further reduce corruption and increase citizen satisfaction through a robust model of e-governance.
Emphasising the importance of the campaign, the DC said that the Bhrashtachar Mukt J&K Week is a vital step towards eliminating corruption from the roots. We encourage every citizen to participate actively in these programs, help identify corruption hotspots and be part of the solution, he added.
The DC urged the people to participate in the ongoing campaign against corruption by attending the various events and utilizing the Grievance and Complaint Redressal Camps. He further said that together, we can make Kathua a model of transparency, accountability and integrity.
The DC emphasized the pivotal role that technology and digital empowerment play in combating corruption and ushering in a new era of transparency. These campaigns aim to harness the power of technology to simplify the government processes and improve public service delivery besides nipping the corrupt practices at the bud.
Earlier, a theme based cultural programme was presented by the school students to aware and encourage the masses to avail an array of online services being offered by the government to ease the lives of citizens.
On the occasion, beneficiaries of different schemes of the government expressed their gratitude towards the government for providing door step delivery of services by organizing this awareness cum public service delivery programme.
Around 40 stalls of different line departments were established which served as informative hubs to demonstrate how to access and utilize e-services effectively which not only provided valuable insights into the array of services available but also fostered a sense of empowerment among attendees, equipping them with the knowledge needed to make the most of government initiatives.
