Bandipora : As part of the ongoing Bhrashtachar Mukt J&K Week, and following the directions of Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, a team of senior officers led by Nodal Officer Coordination Mohammad Ashraf Hakak and ADC Bandipora Umar Shafi Tuesday visited Bandipora town including main market area to assess the issues faced by people and addresses their grievances and concerns.
During the visit, the officers interacted with people, including traders and transporters, besides shopkeepers. The officers took stock of the issues faced by common people in and around the main market.
The people, including shopkeepers and transporters on the occasion, brought several issues into their notice, including drainage system, traffic management, and sanitation.
One of the main problems faced by common people was a main drainage hole situated in the center of Gulshan Chowk Market. Officers on the spot passed the directions to Executive Officer Municipal Council Bandipora for repairing and covering the hole on a war-footing basis.

He said that the visit provided an opportunity for the administration to gain firsthand appraisal of the challenges faced by the residents and business owners of the town. He said that the concerns of the local population have been recorded and shall be resolved on a priority basis.
Speaking about Bhrashtachar Mukt J&K week, he said that the goal of District Administration is to build a corruption-free society where every citizen can lead a dignified life.
