Police organises awareness Progs for students in Awantipora

Srinagar: Police in Awantipora under the aegis of ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mohatsav’ have organized one day awareness programmes under the theme “Police in Amrit Kall” for the students in sub–Division Tral, Awantipora and Pampore here on Saturday.
According to a statement issued from Zonal Police Headquarters Srinagar the programmes were chaired by concerned SDPOs along with SHOs of Police Station Pampore, Police Station Tral and Police Station Awantipora. The programmes were actively participated by thirty students from different Schools and Colleges of Police District Awantipora. The participating students were given the idea about the Police Department, its Ranks, functioning and policing etc besides, were shown the various establishments and their day to day working in the Police Department.
Besides, the SSP Awantipora interacted with students at DPO Awantipora and encouraged them and assured for providing all possible support in future and advised the students to concentrate upon their studies besides taking part in extracurricular activities. SSP Awantipora along with SP DAR Awantipora SDPO Awantipora and SHO Awantipora distributed participant certificates among the participants. Similarly, in Tral and Pampore participation certificates were presented to all the participants. Refreshment was served to all the participants.
Moreover, the participating students appreciated the role of the Police Department and desired to organise such kind of awareness programmes in future to bridge the gap and understand the role of Police in many better ways.
