DDC reviews implementation of Dev schemes

Rajouri: Chairman, District Development Council (DDC) Rajouri, Chowdhary Naseem Liyaqat on Saturday underscored the importance of close collaboration between Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs) and government departments to achieve optimal results in the implementation of government schemes and ensure the timely completion of vital developmental projects.
He was chairing the District Development Council meeting convened to review the achievements of the departments under different schemes and progra The meeting conducted in-depth discussion on key issues pertaining to departments such as Jal Shakti, Public Works Department (PWD), Power Development Department (PDD), Rural Development Department (RDD), Education, Irrigation, and Flood Control among others.
Heads of these departments provided comprehensive updates on the notable achievements made in recent times.
Concerns were raised regarding the allocation of works in the RDD, with Xen RDD assuring the assembly that the allocation process is proceeding swiftly and will be completed by September 15th.
Maintenance of hand pumps was another significant issue raised, prompting Deputy Commissioner Vikas kundal to address the concerns on the spot. Issues related to Jal Shakti were echoed by the Chair, and immediate directions were passed by Deputy Commissioner for addressing the same.
The meeting also delved into the escalating problem of water scarcity in Block Kalakote. The Deputy Commissioner assured the assembly that redress of the issue was the top priority of the administration, and directives were issued for its prompt redressal.
The meeting saw the participation of DDC Member Darhal, Iqbal Malik; DDC Member Sunderbani, Rajinder Sharma; DDC Member Dhangri, Rameshwar Singh; DDC Member Doongi, Khalid Hussain; DDC Member Rajouri, Sai Abdul Rashid; DDC Member Nowshera, Dr. Manohar Singh; DDC Member Thannamandi, Abdul Qayoom Mir; DDC Member Budhal-old, Shazia Kouser; DDC Member Budhal, Nasreen Akhtar; DDC Member Moughla, Naseem Akhtar; BDC Rajouri, Darbar Chowdhary; BDC Siot Bal Krishan; BDC Sunderbani Arun Sharma ,BDC Moughla, Surekha Kotewal; BDC Budhal New, Shamim Akhter;BDC Plangarh, Parveen Akhter, BDC Kalakote Bubu khan, BDC Darhal Aslam malik.
Representing the administration, the meeting was attended by DDC Rajouri, Vikas Kundal; ADDC (CEO, DDC Rajouri), Pawan Kumar; Chief Planning Officer (CPO) Rajouri, Mohd Khursheed; Project Officer Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS), Shoket Mehmood Malik; Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD) Rajouri, Vijay Kumar Verma; General Manager District Industries Center (DIC), Ashwini Kumar; ACP, Sheraz Chowhan;District Mineral officer Rajouri Naseeb choudary ,DSWO Wakeel bhatt, District Panchayat Officer Rajouri Auqil Nuvaid,CEO Sultana Kousar ; SE jalshaki ,XEN PWD sardar khan and other officers.
The District Development Council in Rajouri remains committed to fostering progress, enhancing collaboration, and addressing critical issues to improve the quality of life for its residents.
