Udhampur: Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur, Saloni Rai on Friday flagged off a group of 50 farmers for a Capacity Building Programme under Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP).
The objective of this tour is to familiarize farmers with the latest horticultural techniques and skills aimed at improving fruit crop production and productivity, aligning with the Prime Minister’s goal of doubling farmers’ income.
During her interaction with the farmers, the Deputy Commissioner underscored the significance of such initiatives, emphasizing the role of new technologies in addressing challenges in the horticulture sector and enhancing economic prosperity, especially in rural areas.
