Chairperson DDC Ramban kick starts work on NABARD Road project, participates in Digital J&K Week prog at Sangaldan

Ramban: Chairperson District Development Council, Ramban, Dr Shamshad Shan on Friday participated in Digital J&K Week 2023 program at block headquarter Sangaldan amid huge public participation where different departments imparted awareness to visitors about the online services.
BDC Sangaldan, Naveeda Begum; Tehsildar Gool, Rakesh Kumar Sharma; Naib Tehsildar Sangaldan, Kashu Singh and PRIs attended the function.
Speaking on the occasion, the DDC Chairperson said that the objective of celebrating Digital J&K Week is to provide transparent and hassle-free online services of different sectors to people besides promoting the e-Services, made available by the Government for the general masses under the good-governance initiative.
Appreciating the Digital J&K Week initiative, the chairperson asked the officers and officials of different departments, especially providing basic and important services for extending handholding to people for availing the benefits from various government services through online mode.
Later, the Chairperson along with PRIs and concerned officers kick started construction work on 3-KM Surinda to Gameri road being constructed by PWD (R&B), Division Ramban at an estimated cost of Rs 6.53 cr under NABARD.
Meanwhile, the DDC Chairperson directed officers of the executing agency to ensure timely completion of the road project and ensure the quality of work. She also advised the PRIs to monitor the developmental works in their respective areas in larger public interest.
