Reasi: The inaugural ‘Shivkhori Shravan Mahotsav’ concluded on Monday with religious fervor and enthusiasm at the Shiv Shakti Bhawan in Ransoo Town, Reasi.
This grand event spanned over two sacred months of Shravan/Sawan and was celebrated on all Sawan Mondays, which hold special significance in the Hindu calendar.
District Development Commissioner Babila Rakwal was the chief guest, while DDC Member Kewal Krishan was the guest of honor at the concluding function.
The closing day of the Shivkhori Shravan Mahotsav featured a special bhajan concert where artists from the Jammu region captivated the audience with their devotional songs and bhaints.
The District Administration Reasi, in collaboration with the Tourism Department, organized the Mahotsav offering a diverse range of programs, including Katha sessions on Shiv Purana, Bhajan presentations, depiction of the life and teachings of Lord Shiva and several other religious activities.
In her address, the DDC emphasized the significance of the ‘Shivkhori Shravan Mahotsav’ in the state’s religious traditions, highlighting how it brought people from different parts of the J&K together. She also extended her congratulations to all the departments involved in the successful organization of the Mahotsav.
The two-month-long Shivkhori Shravan Mahotsav witnessed the participation of hundreds of devotees from Jammu and Kashmir and neighboring states, who engaged in spiritual activities and sought the blessings of Lord Shiva.
