Srinagar: Jammu and Kashmir Employees Joint Coordination Committee (EJCC), an umbrella organization representing different departments, staged a protest in Srinagar on Monday to draw the attention of administration towards pending G.P. funds and retirement benefits.
The protestors gathered at Srinagar’s Press Enclave and alleged that the funds have not been released yet, and unfortunately, they are being forced to hit the streets to press for their demands.
“The G.P. Fund money is rightfully ours, and it is the government’s duty and responsibility to disburse it to us. The government assured us that our funds would be released within 15 days, but today more than one and a half month has elapsed, and no action has been taken till yet,” the protestors said.
“We are being forced to run from pillar to post for our money, and now we are requesting the government to look into the matter and release our funds,” they added
