Srinagar: To honour the supreme sacrifice offered by the valiant warrior ASI Abdul Rashid Shah S/o Gull Mohammad Shah R/o Panzath, Wanpora while fighting with militants at Mehandi Kadal Anantnag on 28 August 2017, Government Primary School Nagbal Panzath is dedicated in the name of Abdul Rashid Shah. ZEO Qazigund, Headmaster of the said school, Auqaf committee members, SHO PS Qazigund with other officers and officials of district administration, Kulgam Police and family of the slain ASI were present on the occasion. Moreover the students of the said institute performed patriotic songs in memory of the said martyr.
Speaking on the occasion, SHO Police station Qazigund conveyed that Martyr Abdul Rashid Shah was very helpful and popular among his colleagues. He was very courageous and brave policeman.
Moreover the other officers also spoke on the occasion and paid rich tribute to the slain cop. They hoped that by this initiative of the Government, youth would learn about the supreme sacrifices of the “Martyrs”. Not only it will nurture a feeling of nationalism among the citizens but also immortalize the “Martyrs”, who will be remembered by their names.
