Kishtwar: District Sainik Welfare Officer Doda/Kishtwar Wing, CDR Tirath Singh (Retd) on Thursday visited Sainik Sarai Kishtwar to review the implementation of welfare measures for Ex-Servicemen (ESM) and facilitate better smooth execution of the latest welfare policies.
During his visit, he engaged with ESMs, where discussions revolved around crucial welfare measures and the introduction of the SPARSH portal.
The interaction provided an opportunity to the ESMs to get a detailed insight into the latest welfare policies specifically designed to address their needs. The SPARSH portal, a pioneering initiative, was highlighted as a means to streamline access to these policies and services, thus simplifying the experience for veterans.
One of the prominent demands put forth by the ESMs was the establishment of the Zila Sainik Welfare Office and ECHS in Kishtwar.
Recognizing the importance of this request, the District Sainik Welfare Officer engaged in constructive dialogue with DC Kishtwar and CO 26RR and they expressed their commitment to address this demand by taking appropriate measures to establish the proposed Zila Sainik Welfare Office and Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS) facility.
The meeting underscored the collective commitment of all stakeholders involved towards the welfare of Ex-Servicemen. The proactive engagement between the District Sainik Welfare Officer Doda/Kishtwar, ESMs, ensured time bound redressal of the concerns and needs of veterans.
