DC Chairs fortnightly meeting to review JJM Implementation in district Kishtwar

DC Stresses on timeline completion of Water Supply Schemes

Kishtwar: Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Dr. Devansh Yadav- on Thursday chaired a meeting to conduct the fortnightly assessment of the implementation of the Jal Jeevan Mission in the district.
The DC took a comprehensive review of the progress of Water Supply schemes taken up in different parts of the district under the Jal Jeevan Mission.
The meeting was informed that a total of 123 schemes are presently at different stages of development and the initiatives underscore the commitment of the Government towards providing accessible and safe drinking water to all households.
In light of the significance of these projects to the public, Dr. Devansh Yadav directed the stakeholders to intensify their efforts and allocate resources efficiently to ensure prompt and timeline completion of the ongoing schemes.
To underscore the urgency of the matter, a strict three-month timeline was set by the Deputy Commissioner for the completion of each project, thereby ensuring that households receive access to clean tap water.
Furthermore, the Deputy Commissioner emphasized the need for transparent communication and accountability. He instructed the NIC authorities to collaborate with Jal Shakti to establish and maintain a real-time information dashboard on the NIC portal. This interactive platform will serve as a valuable resource for the public, providing up-to-date information on the status of Jal Jeevan Mission projects.
The meeting also discussed various bottlenecks and interventions required to smoothen the implementation process.
The Deputy Commissioner reaffirmed the District administration’s commitment for successful execution of the Jal Jeevan Mission to provide essential services to the citizens of Kishtwar in a given timeline.
The meeting was attended by ADDC Kishtwar Sham Lal, ExEN Jal Shakti Department Kishtwar Sunil Sharma District Coordinator JJM Riaz Ahmed Butt, DIO National Informatics Centre Kishtwar, AEEs,JEs, representatives of executing agencies besides others.
